Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
|
| |
How long will my supply of 30Glycolic products last?
This depends on (1) how often you use the products, and
(2) how liberal an amount is used. However, if you use our
products as recommended, a standard supply should last as
follows:

Can I use the glycolic acid peels
on other parts of my body?
Absolutely. Our glycolic acid is buffered and therefore
safe to use on most body parts including the elbows, feet
(heels), hands, legs, neck, and chest.

Can I cleanse my face with soap before applying the Rapid
Exfoliator?
We do not recommend using soap as it is an alkali and will
therefore neutralize the effects of the glycolic acid. For
best results, cleanse the area to be exfoliated with a pH-balanced
cleanser such as our Pink or Mint Facial Cleansers.

Why should I alternate between the exfoliating and non-exfoliating
moisturizers?
Your skin needs time to rest and rebuild itself between
glycolic acid exfoliations. Therefore, we recommend alternating
between use of our Nighttime Royal Alpha Balance exfoliating
moisturizer and the Chiffon Cream line.

Will I see an immediate result after using my Rapid Exfoliating
products?
You will NOT see dramatic results after ONE or TWO applications.
It takes at least 6-10 peels to flush impurities out of
the skin and resolve recurring blemishes. Please have
patience! (back

Will using a Glycolic Acid Peel change the color of my skin?
No. A Glycolic Acid peel
simply removes the clogged pores and dead layers of cells
that make skin look dull. It will not change the color of your skin, but it will even out your skin tone. (back

Is there a chance that my face will break out while using
your products?
It is possible that you may see an increase in breakouts
during the first few weeks of using our products. When you
begin to properly cleanse the skin -- peeling away all the
dull, clogged layers -- hidden dirt and bacteria are flushed
to the skin’s surface. That is why your skin looks
like it is breaking out. Continued cleansing PLUS exfoliation
will wash all those impurities away, leaving you with healthy
skin that is able to breathe properly.

What is the difference between your 30%, 40% and 60% glycolic
acid peels?
Our glycolic acid peels differ in only two ways:
1.
Strength: Our 30% peel contains 30% pharmaceutical-grade glycolic
acid. The 40% contains 40% and the 60% contains 60%.
2.
Maximum Leave-On Time: Our 30% glycolic
acid peels should be left on no more than 2-3 minutes, the 40% no more than 1-2 minutes, and the 60% no more than 20-30 seconds.

What is the difference between your Mint and Pink products?
Unlike our Pink products, the Mint line (Mint Facial Cleanser
and Mint Freshener) contains Peppermint Oil. There are two
benefits to using Peppermint Oil in products created for
oily or acne prone skin. (1) Peppermint Oil has antimicrobial
properties to help the skin fight bacteria or fungus infections
that may cause blemishes. (2) Peppermint Oil acts as an
extra drying agent that will help to remove excess oils
from the skin. (back

|
| |
What is buffered your acid and why is it beneficial?
Buffered acid has a slightly lower pH level than unbuffered
acid. (Our 30%, 40% and 60% Glycolic Acids have a pH level of 3.0). Buffered
acid reduces side effects
such as burning, redness or swelling without
changing the effectiveness of the acid.

Why do you use Mineral Oil in your products? Won’t
it make my skin greasy?
Mineral oil (also known as Baby Oil) is considered the safest,
most nonirritating, and effective moisturizing ingredient
ever found. Contrary to rumor, mineral oil rarely causes
allergic reactions and cannot become solid, therefore clogging
pores. It won’t suffocate the skin.
